In Loving Memory of Iysis Wenger

Miranda's Smile was truly blessed with getting to know Iysis and being able to bring her smiles. She was an amazing young woman. With a sweet smile that sparkled in her eyes, she touched so many hearts, including ours. We really were blessed to be invited into her life and be touched by her courage, strength and spirit. She lives on in our hearts and will continue to be an inspiration for the mission of Miranda's Smiles ... bringing smiles to teens fighting their fight against cancer and providing support to their families.

Iysis A. Wenger, 14, of Lancaster, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center surrounded by her family. She and her family fought a courageous four year battle with leukemia. Iysis was born on September 6, 1995 and was the daughter of the late Christina Marie Wenger. Christina passed away on May 29, 2002, also of leukemia. Although Iysis' passing is difficult, we know that she is celebrating her reunion with her mother in heaven. Iysis was a member of New Life Assembly of God in Lancaster. She would have been a freshman at Conestoga Valley High School this coming year. She enjoyed movies, shopping, going to the beach with her family, and hanging out with her friends. Although Iysis' time on earth was short, she enjoyed every minute and touched lives of all who knew her. We know that she has earned her angel's wings and is now safe, healthy, and happy in the arms of the Lord. After Christina's pasing, Iysis was adopted by her maternal grandparents Debbie K (Groff) wife of Robert F. Wenger, Sr. of Lancaster. She is also survivied by her loving aunts: Wanda M., wife of Wendel Ranck of paradise and Jaclin S., wife of Richart Steudler of Lancaster; her uncles: Robert H. Groff of Lancaster and Kenneth E Groff or Nottingham; her aunt: Michele, wife of Mike Gegg of Milersville; her cousins Tasha and Amber: and her paternal grandmother: Mary Pompey. Iysis will be lovingly missed by her best friend Rebecca.

Her funeral services were on August 15, 2010 at New Life Assembly of God with Rev. Chris Foster, Rev. Mose Baker, and Rev. D.J. Paglia officiated.

Iysis' family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at Hershey Medical Center as well as friends and family that offered their love, care and support during her difficult journey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miranda K. Zeigler Memorial Foundation, 54 Glenview Drive, Dillsburg, PA 17019 "Bringing Smiles to Teens with Cancer" http://www.mirandassmile.webs.com/ or to the Four Diamonds Fund, P.O.
